Internal Audit Manager ($110K base + 10% bonus, full
benefits, etc)
The Internal Audit Manager has free access to
the president and the audit committee of the board of directors in order to
bring to their attention any matter he or she considers important. The
Internal Audit Manager bears primary responsibility for implementing an
internal audit program for the company. This program provides for:
- The review and appraisal of the soundness, adequacy,
effectiveness, and proper application of accounting, financial, and other
operating controls. - The determination of the extent of compliance with these
controls and other established policies, plans and procedures. - The determination of the extent to which company assets
are accounted for and safeguarded from any losses of any kind. - The determination of the reliability of management’s
financial data. - The issuance of reports to appropriate levels of
management stating conclusions and recommendations for improvements. - The Internal Audit Manager prepares and presents a
quarterly report to the audit committee of the board of directors on internal
auditing activities within the company. - The Internal Audit Manager maintains constant personal
contact with the company division, subsidiary, and plant management in
connection with conducting audits and discussing findings, preparing and
interpreting accounting manuals and procedures, recommending changes in various
operating routines, and administering other responsibilities.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or
Finance. Masters degree in Accounting or Business preferred. - 7+ plus years of public company/industry audit
experience. - CPA/CIA/CFE strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and
written), presentation and organizational skills. - Ability to travel 50% of the time domestically
- Site audit experience preferred.
- Willingness to perform hands-on responsibilities
